Yesterday afternoon during the small ceremony held at the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee conference room, Paul expressed gratitude for all who had been instrumental in his basketball journey.
The 27-year-old, Bexon native, left Saint Lucia on a basketball scholarship in 2010 which landed him on to Canadian basketball powerhouse Brandon Manitoba of Brandon university. John Paul has also played pro in Salamanca Spain for Aquimisia Carbajosa of the LEB Plata and US Laval of NM2 League in France.
“During my career I’ve had many trials and tribulations all of which I considered teaching moments”, the young baller asserted as he put pen to paper. John Paul is adamant that a sound education goes hand in hand with sports and encourages all young basketballers to ensure their grades are exceptional. JP reiterates that education is important and that he is committed to his new team and that he is anxiously waiting for the team to finalize everything to get him to his new home and team in August.
